FAQ

There are several reasons for calling in a home chef.

A unique gastronomic experience

Hiring an in-home chef offers an exceptional, made-to-measure culinary experience. The chef creates dishes tailored to the dietary preferences of his customers, offering original and innovative creations that are out of the ordinary.

Comfort and convenience

Hiring a home chef takes the hassle out of preparing and cleaning up a meal. The chef brings all the necessary ingredients and utensils, cooks on the spot, and takes care of the complete clean-up before leaving, offering a practical and hassle-free solution.

Special occasions

An in-home chef is an exceptional option for special occasions such as romantic dinners, birthday parties, business dinners, weddings, and any other important occasion requiring a superior culinary experience.

In short, hiring a home chef is a practical and elegant alternative for those who want to enjoy a unique gastronomic experience, without having to worry about preparing and cleaning up a meal.

Chef Bodin travels throughout Switzerland. For more extensive services, he is also available internationally.

For smaller events, it covers the whole of French-speaking Switzerland, with a particular focus on the Valais.

Whatever the size of your event, Chef Bodin will be able to find a solution for you, either by coming to you or by suggesting a chef from his network.

In principle, the menu chosen is the same for all guests, simplifying organisation and the supply of goods. However, if guests absolutely require different dishes, this can be arranged for a supplement added to the bill. Flexibility is our priority, and Chef Bodin will endeavour to meet any specific requests to ensure a personalised and exceptional culinary experience.

Please note that drinks are not included in the in-home chef service offered by Chef Bodin.

The chef does not have a licence to serve alcoholic beverages. However, customers can take care of this themselves by providing drinks for their guests.

If your kitchen is small, Chef Bodin will adapt to create a high-end culinary experience. Chef Bodin works with ingenuity to offer a memorable gastronomic experience, whatever the space available. However, if you only have a kitchenette, it will be carbo dough!

Absolutely, you need basic equipment such as pots, pans, an oven, a hob and a fridge to ensure that the Chef's service runs smoothly.

However, if your kitchen doesn't have all the equipment you need, don't worry. The Chef will propose menus adapted to your kitchen, or he can also take care of hiring the necessary equipment, offering a complete and practical solution.

Please note that the cost of hiring the equipment will be added to the bill for the service. This option allows you to have everything you need for a quality culinary experience, even if your kitchen does not have the necessary equipment.

Chef Bodin will ensure that every detail is taken into account, guaranteeing a hassle-free, made-to-measure service.

It depends on the service.

We advise you to contact the Chef directly, who will be able to answer this question, as his answer will depend directly on the complexity of the menu.

As part of a classic in-home chef service, you can be a maximum of 6 people without the need for a maître d'.

Until then, Chef Bodin will provide the service himself in this configuration.

Beyond this number, the presence of a maître d' will be necessary to guarantee an optimal experience.

In this case, Chef Bodin will not only find a qualified maître d', but will also coordinate and supervise the entire service to ensure that your event runs smoothly.

The Chef's arrival time depends on the complexity of the menu and the number of guests.

In general, Chef Bodin plans to arrive at least two hours before the start of the meal.

This time margin allows meticulous preparation, guaranteeing the quality of each dish and ensuring a smooth culinary experience.

Chef Bodin will take care of all the shopping required to prepare your meal.

From selecting the freshest ingredients to purchasing quality products, the Chef ensures that everything is taken care of to deliver a quality culinary experience.

So you don't have to worry about shopping, allowing you to concentrate fully on tasting and enjoying your event.

Chef Bodin will serve up to 6 guests.

Beyond this number, the presence of a maître d' is recommended to guarantee optimum service.

It is important to note that these figures are indicative and depend on the complexity of the menu, the venue and other logistical factors.

A specific validation from the Chef will be carried out for each event, ensuring tailor-made planning according to your needs and the nature of the occasion.

Absolutely, Chef Bodin takes charge of cleaning the kitchen before he leaves.

This includes cleaning all used surfaces, running the dishwasher for used utensils and crockery, and taking out the bins.

So you don't have to worry about cleaning up after your meal, and you can enjoy the moment and your guests to the full.

The method of payment is usually agreed in advance when the service is booked.

For payments by bank transfer, the Chef will provide the information required to complete the transaction.

As far as cash payments are concerned, it is essential to plan the exact amount to be handed over to the Chef on the day of the service.
